Enjoying the landscape

Above all, the most important thing is to sit down on one of the benches at the viewpoint, relax, and take in this natural wonder. It’s a wild and beautiful place that reminds you of how nature can always surprise us.
From a distance, you can admire the geyser effect created by the water rushing in and out, evoking the breath of a whale. All of it surrounded by blue sea and dark volcanic rock. Up close, the natural pool steals the show—its movement, filling and emptying again and again in an endless rhythm.
Walking
The surroundings of El Bufadero offer great views of the sea and the Telde coastline. Along the avenue connecting La Garita Beach with Melenara, you’ll find several beaches, cliffs, viewpoints, a pier, “natural pools”, parks, statues… You just need a little curiosity to follow any of these paths, and you’ll be rewarded with magnificent scenery.
Gastronomy
Another great reason to visit El Bufadero is the many options to eat nearby—from beachfront restaurants where fish takes center stage to pizzerias and cafés offering breakfasts and sandwiches. Check out our guide on where to eat around El Bufadero de La Garita.
Sports
For locals, this is also one of the most popular spots for exercise. The avenue’s almost four‑kilometer stretch is ideal for walking, cycling, or going for a run, especially at sunrise or sunset.
Pets

Everything around El Bufadero de La Garita is pet‑friendly. There are water taps for animals, open spaces where they can run freely, and easy trails to explore. Just remember—they can only access and swim at San Borondón Beach.
